Facial Vein Treatment

Facial veins are small veins in the skin and they have the appearance of thin red or blue lines in the skin. Threadveins on the face are extremely common, however, they do not necessarily cause any symptoms but because they are so visible many people dislike their appearance.

There are a number of causes including overexposure to the sun, drastic changes in weather, excessive alcohol consumption, hormonal changes such as pregnancy, sudden changes in pressure such as severe vomiting or sneezing, or they may simply be genetic.

Laser Therapy, intense pulsed light, is the most effective broken blood vessels on face treatment on the nose and other areas of the face. With this, the visible blood vessels are removed by light absorbed by the blood, which destroys the vessel. After some time, the vessel disappears, restoring the skin's natural appearance.

In some instances sclerotherapy, injections of mild sclerosant, can be used to treat facial veins.
